Located in the Tarn department, in the Albi Gaillac Cordes-sur-ciel golden triangle, our campsite is committed to preserving the environment and promoting ecotourism. With its Green Key label, LPO refuge and membership of the Via Natura association of eco-responsible campsites, we'd like to introduce you to the actions taken by the campsite to reduce its environmental impact.
Environmentally-friendly campsites
Le Soleil des Bastides campsite offers environmentally-friendly camping pitches. No phytosanitary products are used to maintain the park. Pitches are laid out in such a way as not to disturb the local ecosystem, and suitable areas are created. Trees and plants are selected from local species and preserved as far as possible. Waste is sorted and recycled.
Energy-efficient equipment
The campsite uses energy-efficient equipment such as solar panels to produce hot water for the sanitary facilities. Newly installed equipment is also selected to be energy-efficient to reduce electricity consumption.
Actions to reduce water consumption
Le Soleil des Bastides campsite is also committed to water conservation. Actions have been taken to reduce water consumption, such as the use of low-flow taps in bathrooms and showers. What's more, the water used for watering the green spaces, limited to what is strictly necessary by the use of resistant and endemic species, is recovered and reused.
A collaborative approach
An African proverb says "alone we go faster, together we go further", which is why at Le Soleil des Bastides we're betting on collective intelligence and a collaborative approach. Our holidaymakers are invited to extend their own commitment to everyday life during their vacations by, among other things : Participate in waste sorting and composting, manage water sparingly, turn off electrical appliances, radiators and lights when leaving, favor village shops by walking or cycling to them, favor local markets to encourage short circuits and reduce the production of plastic waste.
