Vertrekkende vanaf onze camping in de Tarn<\/a>, Le Soleil des Bastides, bevind je je op de perfecte locatie om Castelnau\u2011de\u2011Montmiral te bezoeken. De naam van het dorp komt uit het Occitaans en betekent “de heuvel vanwaar men kijkt” (mont + mirar). De bastide biedt dus een prachtig uitzicht op het omliggende landschap.<\/p>\n

Castelnau\u2011de\u2011Montmiral<\/strong> is een dorp op 11 minuten van Le Soleil des Bastides en 32 minuten van Albi. Deze bastide werd gesticht in 1222 door Raymond VII van Toulouse<\/strong>. Je bewondert er vakwerkhuizen uit de middeleeuwen en de Arcadeplaats<\/strong>. In het midden staat een schandpaal \u2013 uitgerust voor dieren v\u00f3\u00f3r hun slachting, maar ook voor dieven. Bij het verlaten van het centrum kom je langs de poorten van de oude vestingmuren<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    De Pechmiral\u2011heuvel<\/strong>, vroeger een processielocatie, wordt gekroond door een Mariabeeld. Het uitzicht daar gaf de naam aan het dorp.<\/p>\n

    Voor natuurliefhebbers ligt Castelnau\u2011de\u2011Montmiral vlak bij het For\u00eat de la Gr\u00e9signe. Hier verscholen zich bronstijd-dolmens. Je wandelt er rustig via het GR 46\u2011langeafstandspad.<\/p>\n

    Wil je een verrassende boswandeling? Van half september tot half oktober ga je \u2019s avonds op pad om het burlen van edelherten te horen.<\/p>\n

    Er zijn verschillende fietsroutes, waaronder \u00e9\u00e9n die in het bos begint, plus andere circuits. Voor details kun je terecht bij het VVV-kantoor.<\/p>\n

    Bij hoge temperaturen raden we de recreatiebasis V\u00e8re\u2011Gr\u00e9signe aan. Die is gezinsvriendelijk met een peuterzone en een waterglijbaan voor jongeren. Er zijn ook (betaalde) activiteiten zoals midgetgolf en vissen. Toegang voor een wandeling of picknick is gratis.<\/p>\n

    Zoetekauwen mogen een bezoek aan de Rucher de Vors zeker niet missen, de imkerij van mevrouw Grand, waar je rechtstreeks honing kunt kopen.<\/p>\n

    Voor muziek- en dansliefhebbers organiseert het dorp jaarlijks het festival \u201cLes Musicales\u201d van 20 tot 22 juli.<\/p>\n
