A place rich in Cathar memory just a few minutes from our campsite.<\/p>\n<p>In this village, you can visit the <strong>Castle of Penne<\/strong>, built around 560. It stands as a relic of the Cathar resistance and has been listed as a historic monument since 1902.<\/p>\n<p>Below the castle, there is a small cross: the Plague Cross. It was erected in memory of the plague epidemic of 1653.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sainte-Catherine Church<\/strong> extends the rampart walk.
